SDS Training and Security Pty Ltd was formed in Brisbane after moving from Warwick providing security to that region since 1996. Trevor Maynard is the General Manager of this company and has a passion for providing security solutions for his clients. As a senior Instructor for security, law and weapons procedures Trevor makes sure that all of the officers employed by SDS Training and Security are professionally trained in all areas. SDS Training and Security takes pride in supplying a continued service to our clients with officers that take pride in their professionalism.

SDS Training and Security is a licensed security company by the Office of Fair Trading (click here to see business licence) and employs only licensed security officers. You may at any time request an officer working for you to show their license (click here to see liability insurance).

 Trevor is the founder and Proprietor of SDS Training and Security. Trevor has been in the Security Industry since 1996 as owner of a Security Company in Warwick. He and his family moved to Brisbane in 2000 where they started SDS Training and Security Pty Ltd as a family business.


Trevor has a passion for providing solutions to people in both the corporate world and on a more personal level. He has extensive experience as a Senior Instructor for Security, Law and Weapons procedures. His training experience and hands on experience in the Security Industry is of high virtue and he takes pride in the knowledge that hands down to all his staff.

Trevor is a man of high morals in all that he does and always puts peoples needs before his own. These traits alone make him a man that his staff respect and look up to.

 Scott is defined as one of the assets of SDS Training and Security. He has been with us since June 2001 as a covert cash collections officer and has worked up through the ranks as Operations Manager.

Scott�s extensive knowledge and experience of Security is one of depth and accountability, he has the initiative to ensure that everyone is accounted for in all facets of the business. As operations manager he is responsible for the day to day activities of all Security Procedures, this includes overseeing the client services division as well as guard and cash services.

Scott carries a high level of respect held by those that work directly beneath him and above him, with his hands on approach and motto that no job is too big. Scott is also a proud team member of the SES which can only highlight the level of commitment he has for his endeavours.

Kevin Meaney - North Coast Training Manager

Kevin Meaney joins the team with a twenty year background of police service. This police experience combined with knowledge and skills acquired working in private security industry for the past thirteen years equips Kevin with the necessary ability to deliver authoritative, structured training across the broad scope of competencies within security training.

Kevin possesses national training qualifications and has personally delivered and supervised security training and assessment throughout Queensland and interstate.

As security manager Kevin joins our existing team of training instructors and facilitators to deliver all nationally approved training packages within our scope.Security Providers Act
PRS20103 Certificate II Security (Operations) the entry level qualification within the Australian Qualification Framework, for the security industry.
